BLS for Healthcare Provider Course
The BLS Healthcare Provider Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The course is intended for certified or noncertified, licensed or nonlicensed healthcare professionals. Intended Audience - Healthcare providers such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician's assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, fire fighters and other allied health personnel.
Student Materials: BLS for Healthcare Providers Student Manual. This manual can be purchased through Healthy Living Ventures, over the phone with course.Written/Skills Exam: Required for completion card. Card Type: BLS Course Completion Card- Good for 2 years.
HEARTSAVER CPR/AED COURSE
The Heartsaver CPR/AED class is designed for non-healthcare rescuers and lay persons to render aid and perform CPR on cardiac arrest patients. This class will give the lay rescuer the skills to recognize the signs of an unresponsive and apneic patient, alert emergency medical services, and perform life-saving CPR with an AED.
Heartsaver CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course that teaches adult, child and infant CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking on an adult, child and infant. This course teaches skills with AHA’s research-proven Practice-While-Watching (PWW) technique, which allows Instructors to observe the students, provide feedback and guide the students’ learning of skills. This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.
Card Type: Heartsaver Course Completion Card- Good for 2 years.
